Airtel Axis Credit Card Rejection

Hi All,
I already have multiple credit cards.
Idfc select
Amazon icici
Icici coral
Axis myzone
Axis rewards
I have a salary account with Axis bank. I had applied for the Airtel Axis credit card. I got a mail saying below details.
"We have reviewed your application no. XXXXXX, however, we regret to inform you that we are unable to process your Credit Card application as it does not meet the Bank's credit norms."
I reached out to the customer support team for clarifications but they did not had any answers and said the respective team will get back to me. I haven't received updates till then.
What could be the possible reason to reject the application? I have a good CIBIL score and get a decent salary.

There a number of possible reasons. Only the credit manager can tell you the reason about what happened exactly

if you really want airtel axis you close axis my zone card since you had axis rewards you will get 2nd card as preapproved so you can instantly generate airtel axis

Possible reason could me using different mobile number for applying Airtel axis Bank credit card. Try applying Airtel axis Bank credit card from the registered mobile number on Axis Bank mobile app or currently active axis bank credit cards.

why so many.. u already have similar cards.. take a break.. use the ones u have.. u already have 2 from axis.. they won't be v keen to gve u a 3rd so easily

How did you apply? Direct link or through Netbanking or Mobile Application? It's better to go through Netbanking/ Mobile app as they will show at the beginning if u can get any card and that will be pre-approved.

I wanted the Airtel axis card for the utility bill payments (electricity, gas, mobile recharge). the axis rewards card is due for renewal in Nov24. I am planning to close this card. I have recently got the AMEX rewards card.
which card is better between axis rewards and AMEX rewards (both are chargeable cards)?

Possible reason could me using different mobile number for applying Airtel axis Bank credit card. Try applying Airtel axis Bank credit card from the registered mobile number on Axis Bank mobile app or currently active axis bank credit cards.

I had applied through the mobile app and using the registered mobile number only. I had gone through the Airtel thanks app, airtel axis card was not showing on their app.

How did you apply? Direct link or through Netbanking or Mobile Application? It's better to go through Netbanking/ Mobile app as they will show at the beginning if u can get any card and that will be pre-approved.

Applied through the mobile app. when I gone through the app there were no options on the pre-approved cards. I filled out few details then they were showing list of different cards (eg. Neo, Myzone, Ace, Airtel Axis, Atlas etc.)

why so many.. u already have similar cards.. take a break.. use the ones u have.. u already have 2 from axis.. they won't be v keen to gve u a 3rd so easily

you will get preapproved offer in app only if you have 1 card if you have more than 1 card you may not get

I had applied through the mobile app and using the registered mobile number only. I had gone through the Airtel thanks app, airtel axis card was not showing on their app.

Try using axis Bank mobile app might it get shown on there. My Airtel axis bank CC also rejected 2 times then I applied from axis Bank mobile app I got instant approval within minutes.

I did use the Axis mobile app while applying for the card.
the customer support team is saying that I can re apply for the same card only after 6 months. was it the same case with you? it will have the negative impact on the CIBIL if you apply multiple times?

I applied for Airtel Axis 3 months after getting Axis Neo, no CIBIL enquiry and instant approval. No offer was there. Priir to 3 months, I wasn't able to apply showing I already have a Card.
