I recently qualified for NET JRF and is enrolled in PHD right now .
I want to open a Bank account for getting the JRF amount which is Around 48K a month . I have a account on SBI but their service is not fulfilling .
I need two things from the bank ( one zero balance( happy to do an starting FD) - second an FD backed secured credit card )
What are my options ?

I advise you to try 2 Bank Accounts.
1. Kotak Mahindra Bank Super savings account
2. Slice super savings account

Kotak super provides a Debit Card which offers 5% cashback even on offline transactions.

Slice account offers interest rate of 5.25% (RBI repo rate) on daily basis
