Axis card applied without my knowledge.

Yesterday I received a text mention that my application is successful. But at that time I was asleep. I don't know how this was applied without my knowledge and no otp came on my number as well.

I have not applied for any credit card and as I have already mentioned I was asleep at that time. I cannot even apply for axis card as I recently got one. It's been just a month since I have applied for the card in January.

How was this authorised as I did not receive any otp. And also cibil enquiry it has caused.

Any help would be appreciated, what should I do here?
Have already emailed axis mentioning the same.

Hey, just relax. You don't need to activate that credit card. If you leave it inactive for 37 days, it'll close automatically, no fees or penalties as per RBI guidelines. There might be a tiny, temporary blip on your credit report, but it'll bounce right back. 🤗

Yes i understand that. But the main issue is this was done without any consent or authorisation from me. I have other axis cards, so at least an otp should have been received. And without any reason a enquiry is added. This is about security and privacy of information

Because the current financial year is ending, every bank employee is trying to complete their targets by hook or crook. 😒

The best course of action is to raise the issue with the branch manager and bank customer care via email while maintaining proper records of communication. If the issue doesn't get resolved, you can raise a complaint with the RBI Ombudsman, submitting all the proof supporting your accusations.✌️

Did you also get notification from CIBIL that your report was fetched?
Or any other notification from aadhaar that you did id check??
Did you check the status of the application from the mentioned app number in the text?
It not then it could ba a false alarm.

Yes I also got a notification (text) from cibil

Update - Today it happened again!

I've already emailed Axis about the issue and how can I report it to cibil?
The standard way of reporting an issue to CIBIL is complex or nearly impossible. One of their support team showed an alternate way to report, which helped me in reporting with ease.

Steps:
1. goto this link: https://ssp.cibil.com/contact-us/newApplicationForm/cd4f3?

2. Fill in all necessary details and make sure you don't miss any mandatory fields (*)

Once submitted, you will get an email confirmation from CIBIL with the service request number.
Then, you will start getting follow-up email within a week.

In case you need to contact them via call: 022 6140 4300 (contact during working hours only and prefer contacting once you get service request number.)
