Recently, I tried to open Bank of Baroda BRO Savings Account which is a zero-balance account provided by BOB. First, I tried opening the account digitally but there is some kind of glitch. After verifying the mobile no. and email, the website doesn't take me to the next page for further verification. Finally, I visited the nearest BOB branch to open the same account but they simply denied that there is only a savings account with a minimum balance requirement of Rs 2000. I showed them the official website of BOB but they didn't consider anything. I told them about the RBI guidelines that every bank has to offer a zero balance account to its customers and I also told them that I would take this issue to RBI Ombudsman. Notwithstanding, they said "Jahan complaint karni hai karo".
Can someone please tell me how to file a complaint with RBI Ombudsman? And please tell me one more thing, will filing a complaint in RBI Ombudsman actually work or not? Or I will just waste my time and efforts?
