What is a Bhabishyat Credit Card?​

The Bhabishyat Credit Card Scheme is a program launched by the West Bengal government. It aims to promote self-employment among the state's residents of West Bengal. The West Bengal Department of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles (MSME&T) oversees the scheme.
Here's a Simple breakdown of the scheme:

• Benefit: Provides loans up to Rs. 5 lakh for starting a business
• Government as guarantor: Reduces the risk for applicants by having the government back the loan.
• Target group: Unemployed youth looking to become entrepreneurs

Salient Features of Bhabishyat Credit Card​

• Any eligible income-generating project in Manufacturing, Service, Trading/Business, both new and existing, may apply for project costs up to Rs 5 Lakh.
• Government Subsidy is In the form of Margin Money contribution @ 10% of the Project Cost with a Ceiling of Rs 25,000/-
• The subsidised interest rate of 4% per annum to the borrower.
• Bank loans will be 100% covered jointly by CGTMSE & Govt of WB ( Zero Collateral).

Eligibility of Bhabishyat Credit Card​

• Indian National and residing in West Bengal for the past ten years ( West Bengal Domicile)
• Any eligible individual, including Motor Transport Workers, Building and other Construction Workers aged between 18-55 years
• Only one person from one family is eligible, whereas 'family' means self and spouse.

Documents Requirements for Bhabishyat Credit Card​

• Photo ID Proof
• Residential Address Proof
• Age Proof
• Detailed Project Report (Suggestive Model Reports may please be seen from the online portal - form attached in this Article)
• Photo - must not be less than 20 KB.
• Signature - Dimensions are 200 x 230 pixels (preferred). The file should be between 20 KB and 50 KB.
• Application Form - ( attached as attachment in the Article)

All this in a single A4 PDF file of file size maximum of 2 MB (As an attachment while submitting the form online)

Steps to Apply for a Bhabishyat Credit Card Online​

Step 1: To submit a form online, you need to register online as a New User and log in with valid credentials.
Step 2 - After Registration is complete, click on the “Apply Online” button on the homepage of the official Website (https://bccs.wb.gov.in/)
Step 3 - Fill in the form by filling out the necessary details
Step 4 - Upload all the documents as asked in the form ( A list has been mentioned above)
Step 5 - Click on the Submit button, and the form will be submitted. Now, updates will come as messages on your registered phone number.

Steps to Apply for a Bhabishyat Credit Card Offline​

You can fill out the Application Form at The Duarey Sarkar Outreach Camp and complete all the formalities there.
