Buying car with Rupay Credit Card

Hello Guys - I am planning to buy a car. When I asked the dealer, they said they will charge extra 2% for Credit Cards Payments. However, they said there is no extra charge if I pay via UPI. I tried paying the booking amount using my Tata Neu Rupay Credit Card and it worked.

Now, that I have to make a bigger payment (during car delivery), please suggest a Rupay Credit Card that I can use to do that payment (around 6 lacs) and which gives me maximum rewards.

Did you get reward for the booking amount? How much was the booking amount? Tata Nue Infinity is one of the best Rupay Cards.

Card Limit?

The Tata Neu Infinity card has an upper cap of 500 NeuCoins per month on UPI transactions, if I am not mistaken. In that case, you would barely save ₹500, making it not worth the hassle.

What other cards do you have? Consider opting for a card that offers milestone benefits. If a card has a base reward rate of 1% and additional milestone benefits that exceed the 2% extra charge by the car dealer, it would be the best option for you.

I'm paying 1 lac with HDFC Rupay Credit card. And rest by RTGS.

You can pay each day 1 lac for 5 days (repay every day in card) & than take the car.
