Credit Card Portfolio

Hello

I am building my credit card portfolio. I currently hold the following cards:
1. ICICI Amazon Pay : 8.5L (LTF), since Sep 2022
2. Axis Ace : 5L (Paid), since Apr 2023

Please recommend good cards that I should add in my portfolio.
1. I use Axis Ace for most of my spends. Please suggest how to convert to LTF.
2. I want a good Rupay card for UPI transactions.
3. My primary objective is cashbacks and offers only, so mainly looking for LTF cards.
4. Initially I want to collect cards for all major banks for offers, even entry level card would suffice for now.
5. My current CIBIL is 776. I am also concerned on how to manage/enhance my CIBIL in my pursuit for a good card portfolio.
6. Please do add in any other recommendations or suggestions if you have any.

Thanks

Update:
My current card portfolio :
1. ICICI APay : 8.5L : LTF : since Sep 22
2. Axis Ace : 5L : 589 : since Apr 23
3. ICICI Coral : 12L : LTF : since Mar 24
4. AmEx Plat Travel : 8.93L : FYF : since Mar 24
5. Federal Celesta : 7.98L : LTF : since May 24

Will close amex after first year.

You are at a good starting point to create a good Credit card portfolio
Suggestions :-
1. As you already iterated that have one card for each of the Main banks so that you can enjoy the 10% festive discounts

a. Kotak League Platinum Rupay card - Basic Kotak LTF card
b. ICICI Platinum or a Coral Rupay card - these basic cards you can get LTF very easily
c. Yes Bank rupay card - It is also a LTF card but they dispose it usually as a secondary card to any Yes bank card
d. HDFC - One card should be there, I am not sure which card would be a LTF and a good card
e. SBI - SBI Simply Click - Not a LTF but wavier is 1Lakh and SBI card is a must have if you want to enjoy 10% festive discounts on Online

At the moment, I am aiming for the following. Please do tell if any if these choices might be wrong.
1. IDFC First Select
2. IndusInd Legend
3. HDFC Millenia or Tata Neu Plus or Tata Neu Infinity (whichever I can get LTF)

Please answer
1. Since I already have ICICI APay, should I still prioritise ICICI platinum OR first focus on other banks?
2. Still researching which card of Kotak & SC would be suitable
3. Any way I can get SBI card LTF ? I most probably won't be using it for expenses, only want it for offers, so not interested to pay fees.

1. IDFC & IndusInd Legend card are good cards to and a LTF (IDFC is an LTF and Legend you can most likely get a LTF one) - no issue in holding it
2. HDFC options are also good - Only suggest you if you have a big basket nearby then go for the tata Neu cards otherwise not worth it(My opinion - As tata Neu app grocery is powered by Bigbasket)

3. I don't think you can get an LTF SBI card - But after a good usage, you can contact customer care and request it to make a LTF
a. I feel SBI is a must card to have - You will get good 10% disc - Last year Amazon great Indian festival is completely powered by SBI cards

Consider SBI simply click 1Lakh spend wavier is there and even if you use it in discounts it would be worth it I feel

BigBasket is not serviceable in my city. My only reason for Tata Neu was UPI transactions cashback & Westside/Zudio. Not sure anymore.

1) ICICI platinum is decent however if you get ICICI Coral Rupay...it will also solve your Rupay card issue.
2) While chargeable but SBI Cashback card provides you cashback on almost all online transactions at 5%. Also if you buy Amazon Gift vouchers from Amazon you get 5% as well. Add those cards to Amazon balance and pay utility bills, insurance etc. Effectively you get 5% on such expenses
3) AU LIT is another LTF on which we see offers.
4) Kotak League is LTF.
5) IndusInd Legend and IndusInd Rupay are LTF. The latter will also solve Rupay card issue.
6) HSBC Platinum is LTF but serviceable in limited cities.
7) Axis Myzone and Axis Neo both are LTF currently in March'24.
8) HDFC Shopperstop Rupay card is LTF.
9) Bank of Baroda Prime is LTF.

SBI Cashback has been devalued. It no longer offers 5% on gift cards

It does offer 5% on gift card. If you buy gift card from Amazon only then because then the MCC code is not of Gift/ Souvenir shop. However if you buy from Gyftr or some other site then you won't get. I buy gift card every month on Amazon for 10k and each time I get cash back

Go for Axis Kwik card (kiwi app). This is a rupay card and in terms of cashbacks it will give you cashback just like the ace card. This card is lifetime free also, If you pay your bills by scanning the merchant QR from kiwi app. you will get 2% cashback as kiwi's 4 kiwi=1 ruppee which you can transfer to your linked bank account instantly.

For some reason, I got rejected last year and since then haven't been able to re-apply
