Gyandeep Portal is an innovative step taken up by the Bihar Government that provides various schemes to the state's students. This portal of the Bihar government is started with the intention for the upliftment of students and development in the education department. The Bihar government launched the Gyandeep portal which provides free admission to private schools to poor children. However, to avail of this scheme, interested candidates must visit various official websites called https://gyandeep-rte.bihar.gov.in/. 
Under the Right to Education policy, admission in private schools has been started from 01st June 2024 and the last date of application is 16th June 2024. The candidates applying to these schemes are candidates from disadvantaged groups and economically weaker sections. However, every private school will reserve 25% of their total seats for those children who are coming from economically weaker sections.

- The children who are above 6 years of age are provided free and compulsory education under the program.
 - The disadvantaged caste and economically weaker section is provided with free and compulsory education in private schools.
 - However, 25% of the seats are reserved for children in private schools.
 - The parents will be able to see all the schools online and can block the seats for their children.

To apply for this scheme some eligibility criteria also exist that are stated below.
- The candidates should be citizens of Bihar State.
 - The age of children should be more than 6 years of age as of 01st April 2024
 - The children should be from weaker sections like all castes, communities, or parents whose annual income is less than INR 2 lakh.
 - The children should belong to Schedule caste, Schedule Tribe, backward classes, and minority groups whose parent's annual income is up to INR 1 lakh.
 
- The Aadhar Card of the student
 - Birth Certificate of the Student
 - Income Certificate of the Family Members
 - Domicile Certificate of the Student
 - BPL Certificate of the family
 - Caste certificate
 - Passport Size Photograph
 - Parent’s Aadhar card
 
- The parents of the student must visit the official website https://gyandeep-rte.bihar.gov.in/ for application on this portal.
 - The next step is to click on Register now available on the top right side of the website.
 - The new window will open that will show the registration form on the screen.
 - As per government regulation, verification of the Aadhar card of parents or guardians is mandatory.
 - However, verification of children's Aadhar cards will be optional.
 - Then click the verify button, and then press the next button.
 - When a new window opens, submit the information like the name of the district, block, school name, and other information.
 - The window will ask for uploading the relevant documents.
 - After submitting relevant documents, the submit button will be activated to complete the application process.
