HDFC Debit card upgrade clarification

on April 2024 i got HDFC Salary Account with welcome kit of Passbook, Cheque Book, easyshop platinum debit card(Black Colour)
on Oct 2024 i am receiving Imperia Banking Upgrade offer, I upgraded it
What my concern is if i Upgrade to Imperia Debit card will in future will i be Charged for DC if they downgraded my account
My salary is not Eligible HDFC IMPERIA , i do greater amount transactions so only they offered all the time i don't think i will do greater amount transactions

My current Debit is LTF due to salary Account

Once you accept the Upgrade offer, To remain part of the HDFC Imperia Banking Programme, you need to meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

• Savings Account: Maintain a minimum average monthly balance of ₹10 lakhs in your savings account.
• Current Account: Maintain a minimum average quarterly balance of ₹15 lakhs in your current account.
• Combined Balance: Maintain a minimum average monthly balance of ₹30 lakhs in a combination of savings accounts and fixed deposits.
• Salary Account: For salaried customers, have a monthly net salary credit of ₹3 lakhs or more in your HDFC Bank corporate salary account.

If you upgrade to the HDFC Imperia Debit Card, the annual fee is usually waived as long as you remain part of the HDFC Bank Imperia Premium Banking Programme. However, if your account is downgraded in the future and you no longer qualify for the Imperia program, you might be charged the annual fee for the debit card.

The annual fee for the HDFC Imperia Debit Card is ₹850 plus applicable taxes. It’s a good idea to keep an eye on your account status to avoid any unexpected charges. My personal suggestion would be to avoid this offer if you can't maintain the before mentioned eligibility criteria.

very simple upgrade and use till you in that category if you failed to meet criteria then raise a request to downgrade debit card no need to think much if you getting upgrade use and enjoy

what i got the answer from other community is

If you are salary account customer, they will never charge you for debit card, irrespective of Imperia or Preferred or Classic which ever you are or downgraded to.
