HDFC FREEDOM CREDIT CARD

3 months ago i got HDFC freedom credit card as my first credit card with a limit of 42k and 1 month ago I got tata neu plus hdfc card ( both are paid btw) . As a beginner what should I do now , cause I have read freedom is a shitty card and I should not have taken the co branded card as a beginner (if it matters I have a cibil of 764 )
Please let me know .
Thank you

Close the Freedom Card after 1 year as you already paid the joining fees.

Only use the Tata Neu Card as it will give you better returns

So if I close core hdfc card will I be able to get or apply for better hdfc cards in the future?
Nope, if you want core cards in future it will be hell of a lot of trouble.
Better not close the freedom card cause Tata neu plus can only be upgraded to Tata neu infinity
in future if you want Millenia or regalia or DCB you need that freedom card for those upgrades.

- You can request customer support and ask them to make your freedom LTF, tell them you have two paid cards and its trouble to pay fee for less rewarding cards.

I applied for freedom card it came in my offer as I am Hdfc customer but it got declined maybe because I have no credit score I am 21 years old and have an Hdfc bank account, which card should I go for ???

Though Freedom is useless card you can use it for sales and if you able to use smartbuy this card is best compared to tata neu ... tata neu you have to use in tata brands now upi reward rate on other upi apps was 0.25 which makes it useless you use freedom and wait for upgrade if you really want hdfc card and if you ok with tata neu plus then you may close freedom. with non core card you cannt get core in future is a myth i used paytm and got hdfc moneyback plus based on it

better use hdfc millenia debit card rather than useless hdfc creditcards wait for preapproved millenia creditcard or higher

If you Can Go for a FD Backed CC For Building Credit History, that would be the Best. And as you already have a HDFC Account, use the DC for as Many Transactions as possible and Maintain a Good Balance, you'll get A Pre-Approved CC Offer, Do Take the Offer No Matter the Card, if you Get Choices, Choose a Core Card as your First Unsecured Credit Card

I'd Suggest Using Both Cards atleast for a Year as you Already have Paid for these Cards. If you Get a Upgrade Offer from Freedom Card within a Year, You can Choose it. About the Tata Neu card, you can again keep it until you get Charged again, you can use and try to Get Around the Rewards being offered by these cards and if you can Recover your Fees and feel that this card is worth it, you can keep it.

Also Lastly, just don't apply for More Cards for a while as you Already Have Got 2 new Cards within 3 months
