ICICI Bank provides various electronic payment options for the Indian Banking Sector.

Mainly there are 3 ways in which you can make electronic payment with ICICI Bank - RTGS, NEFT, and IMPS. Before moving forward, it's important to understand the differences between the 3 modes;

RTGS/NEFT/IMPS Transfer with HDFC Bank:

There are two ways to initiate an RTGS / NEFT/ IMPS transfer with HDFC Bank:
  1. Offline submission /In Branch Request (FOR RTGS/NEFT)
  2. Mobile Banking (FOR RTGS /NEFT /IMPS).
OFFLINE SUBMISSION /IN-BRANCH REQUEST

Step 1: Download and Complete the Form
  • Download the attached NEFT/RTGS form (in PDF format). This same form will be provided to you if you choose to initiate the transfer through an in-branch request. We have also attached the RTGS form with this post for your convenience.
  • Print a clear copy of the downloaded form.
  • Fill out the form completely and accurately. How to fill up the form is mentioned below
NOTE

Remember to do the following while submitting the RTGS form:
  • Debit instructions of your ICICI Bank account/ cheque leaf with the transfer amount.
  • Documents providing the beneficiary account details.
  • Any additional documents as per ICICI Bank requirements.
How to Fill up the Form?
  • Firstly, mention your branch name and today’s date.
  • Next, write the amount to be transferred in figures and words both ways.
  • Next, choose if you want the transfer to be via cash, cheque, or debit of your own account.
  • Fill in your details next which include your Account number, cheque number, date, name, address and mobile number.
  • Next, Write the beneficiary name, account number, bank name, IFSC code, and Branch address, and confirm the account number and remarks.
  • Lastly, choose the purpose of your RTGS and sign on the required area.

Step 2: Submit the Form at Your Branch
  • Visit your nearest ICICI Bank branch.
  • Submit the completed NEFT/RTGS form along with any required identification documents to a bank teller or customer service representative.
  • Once your request is processed, the funds will be transferred to the beneficiary's account.
Mobile Banking (iMobile Pay App)
  • To initiate an IMPS transaction on ICICI Bank mobile application start with adding the payee as beneficiary, by going to the funds transfer window and selecting my payees.
  • Click on Add a new payee and enter the details of beneficiary such as Name, Account number and IFSC code of the payee, followed by confirmation using OTP.
  • Wait for at least 30 minutes to initiate a transaction.
  • Now go back to the Funds transfer window and select the payee from the list of registered payees.
  • Enter details such as transaction amount.
  • Select the type of transfer you want(NEFT/RTGS/IMPS-IFSC)
  • Verify and complete the transaction for successful fund transfer.
Conclusion - When to Use What?
  • For urgent, high-value transfers, opt for RTGS due to its real-time settlement and higher transfer limits.
  • NEFT is suitable for routine transfers and bill payments, offering convenience and cost-effectiveness.
  • IMPS is ideal for small, urgent transfers, providing real-time transactions even on holidays.
