Kotak Bank, a prominent player in India provides multiple electronic fund transfer options.

Mainly there are 3 ways in which you can make electronic payment with Kotak Bank - RTGS, NEFT, and IMPS. Before moving forward, it's important to understand the differences between the 3 modes

RTGS/NEFT/IMPS Transfer with Kotak Bank:

There are two ways to initiate an RTGS / NEFT/ IMPS transfer with Kotak Bank:
  1. Offline submission /In Branch Request (FOR RTGS/NEFT)
  2. Mobile Banking (FOR RTGS /NEFT /IMPS).

OFFLINE SUBMISSION /IN-BRANCH REQUEST

Step 1: Download and Complete the Form

  • Download the attached NEFT/RTGS form (in PDF format). This same form will be provided to you if you choose to initiate the transfer through an in-branch request. We have attached a copy of the same form in this post for your ease.
  • Print a clear copy of the downloaded form.
  • Fill out the form completely and accurately. How to fill up the form is mentioned below

How to Fill up the Form?
  • Select the type of fund transfer you want to do (RTGS/NEFT).
  • Proceed to write the branch name and date.
  • Then write your account number, cheque# and again choose the type of fund transfer(RTGS/NEFT). This is the account number from which the amount will be debited (deducted).
  • Write the amount to be transferred in figures and words.
  • Write the purpose code for RTGS form. Various codes have been mentioned in the RTGS Form below, select the most appropriate one.
  • Next, you need to fill in the details of the beneficiary (the person to whom you’re sending the money). First select the beneficiary's account type (Savings, Current, NRE, Overdraft, etc) and write their name, account number, confirm account number, IFSC code, bank, branch.
  • Please be extra careful while mentioning these details, as incorrect details can lead to rejection of the payment
  • Next sign the declaration and write your name.

Step 2: Submit the Form at Your Branch

  • Visit your nearest Kotak Bank branch.
  • Submit the completed NEFT/RTGS form along with any required identification documents to a bank teller or customer service representative.
  • Once your request is processed, the funds will be transferred to the beneficiary's account.

Mobile Banking (Kotak Mobile App)
  • Log in to your Kotak Mobile App.
  • Scroll down to the Pay & Transfer window and select the ‘Transfer Money’ or ‘One Time Transfer’ option.
  • Now enter your MPin and click on the ‘Send Money’ and select the one time transfer option next.
  • Now, you will land on a select method page, from where you can select to transfer in account, use UPI or repeat previous transactions. You may select the ‘Account number’ option.
  • Now, enter the beneficiaries bank details, account details and transfer amount with remarks(if any) and click on continue.
  • Next you may select the mode of transfer via IMPS, NEFT or by scheduling a payment and click on continue.
  • Next, verify all the details, click on Confirm & Pay and complete the payment by entering your MPin.
  • Now, your payment will get successfully transferred.
