I want to apply for a loan against shares (LAS) or personal loan, which one is better? I'm not sure which one would have more effective interest rate as LAS has pledging and unpledging charges ?

If the difference between interest rate you are getting compared between both is considerable good. Then only you should go with Loan Against shares. Your investment is at risk if you go for loan against shares. But on the other hand, there won't be such a thing in personal loans

Ask for 1-2 main banks (where you get majority of income/generally have good balances) for personal loan interest, if you are getting somewhere around 11% with fixed/less than 1.5% processing fee then taking a personal loan is better. Otherwise, for LAS, you'll be able to get it at 11-12% with a fixed/very small processing fee
