Only liquid funds would be recommended when you are going to invest for 6 to 24 months. Because currently the markets are not stable and EQUITY would be risky for upto 24 months. If you are lucky than EQUITY can give you good profits otherwise you would be in loss or very little profit.
You can go for Liquid Funds or the Bank FDs.

try a hybrid conservative fund.. interesting and not v v risky.. moderate risk.. but to my mind will deliver fd ++ returns OR FD in an SFB

YOU CAN GO WITH FDS ONLY BECAUSE TIME GIVEN IS VERY LESS.
