I already hold a basic account with HDFC, & Recently I got HDFC Freedom CC LTF with a 25k limit, I know that it's just a basic card and the rewards are negligible. I want at least Moneyback+ CC, Any tips to upgrade it? Also, did I make a mistake by taking the Freedom CC rather than waiting for a better CC offer?

I'm having this card from 1.6 years now.
10x - rewards on every 150 spent.
which is 1.6% return.

Hello Falcon, The Bank will offer you Moneyback and Moneyback +, as per my experience, and it will increase your limits also.
But you have to wait for them at least one year.
For a start, it is a good credit card... I have also followed the same journey as yours currently I am in the middle stage of this.

Rules are like this for HDFC which CS always mention.
50k plus limit MB+
1 lac plus limit Millennia
2 Lac plus limit Regalia
- So in order to get upgrade you need to get Limit enhancement that would qualify the upgrade.

You can submit ITR/Salary and ask for LE.
They would ask you to wait for 6months to get LE but you can still force them and try your luck.
