I guess there is a transfer form with the post office which you need to fill and request them to transfer your account to the respective bank. Alternatively, is to file an application with the respective Post office

If you want to transfer your SSY account from the post office to a bank, you must first submit an SSY transfer request. You must visit your post office, where you have the SSY account, and submit the Transfer Request.

Detailed Step-by-step process to transfer your SSY account from the post office to the Bank-

Step 1-
Visit the post office where you have a Sukanya Samriddhi account (SSY) with a passport and KYC documents.

Step 2- Submit the transfer request, mentioning the full address of the Bank where you want to transfer.

Step 3- After verifying your signature and other documents, the Post Officer will give you the original documents, such as a certified copy of the account, the Account Opening Application, specimen signature, etc., and a check or DD for the outstanding balance in the SSY account.

Step 4- Visit your Bank (where you want the Sukanya Samriddhi Account to be transferred) with the documents you received from the Post Office and your KYC documents. Remember to keep the original documents received from the Post Office safe, as they are crucial for the transfer process.

Step 5- Fill out the new account opening form for the Sukanya Samriddhi Account. Submit the form to the Bank, along with your KYC documents and the documents you received at the post office.
