Which department are you referring to? Typically, with government jobs, we do not have the option to choose the bank. The department usually links all the salaries to the same bank. They'll open it for you or ask you to fill the application in so and so bank.

IDFC First Bank Nation First salary account. Made for government employees only. Or you can go with SBI Central/State government employee account. But benefits are less there.
