Hi there,
People know it's buzz in the stock market and specially in mutual fund. Due to lots of app and user-friendly online platforms, everyone is buying some or other mutual fund. I think people needs to understand it better before simply opening an account on online brokers.I think you should always understand and consult the investment . As mutual funds investment is not any golden key of sure shot return.there are lot of factors, which needs to be considered before we start investing. Simply selecting any fund and investing is not a very good idea, pls understand and consider all aspects before putting money, very specific if you are totally new bee and have almost no knowledge how funds functions. Always take suggestions from bank employees in branch not any phone calls and email not sms in bank also select that person who know stock market and share properly he is good command in market then take plan for SIP or Other plan of investment

As I'm 20 years old and thinking of starting a sip of 2000 for a mutual fund from which category should I start? all amount in mid-cap or diversify among all three categories of funds as 1000 in large-cap, 500 in mid-cap and 500 in small-cap. Which one is suitable for me any suggestions

As you are staring in your early age so according to me you should have a good exposure to small cap funds. Instead of dividing your fund into 3 parts divide it into two parts 1k in small cap and 1k in Flexi cap funds told flexi cap because in this fund your money will be diversified in every capitalizations.
