I frequently (almost everyday) receive calls from unknown callers. They are offering to apply for credit cards specially for HDFC and IDFC First bank though I already have multiple CCs of these banks.

Are everyone having HDFC and IDFC bank cards receive such calls? Are these calls scam! Please confirm.

Receiving frequent calls from unknown callers offering credit cards can be frustrating and suspicious. Here's what you need to know:

*Are these calls targeting only HDFC and IDFC First bank customers?*
No, these calls are not exclusive to HDFC and IDFC First bank customers. Many people receive similar calls, often targeting various bank customers.

*Are these calls scams?*
Most likely, yes. These calls are likely scams, and here's why:

1. *Unsolicited Offers*: Legitimate banks typically don't cold-call customers to offer credit cards, especially if you already have multiple cards from the same bank.
2. *Lack of Personalization*: Scammers often use generic scripts and don't address you by name or reference your specific account details.
3. *Pressure Tactics*: Scammers might create a sense of urgency, claiming that the offer is only valid for a limited time or that you'll miss out on benefits if you don't apply immediately.
4. *Request for Sensitive Information*: Scammers might ask for sensitive information, such as your card details, OTPs, or personal identification numbers (PINs).

*How to handle these calls:*
1. *Don't Engage*: Avoid engaging with the caller or providing any sensitive information.
2. *Hang Up*: Politely hang up the call.
3. *Report the Number*: Report the number to your bank's customer care or the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to help prevent further scam calls via DND app or 1909 NDNC trai helpline.
4. *Verify Offers*: If you're interested in a credit card, visit the bank's official website or contact their customer care directly to verify the offer.

Stay vigilant and protect your personal and financial information!
