Hi everyone,
I’m an Indian citizen and will be traveling to multiple countries over the next few years — including Spain, France, Colombia, Argentina, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Ghana, South Africa, and UAE.

I’m trying to choose a bank that’s reliable internationally and offers good digital tools, low fees, and strong global presence. I’ve narrowed it down to HSBC, Standard Chartered, and DBS.

Could anyone help compare them on the following points?
  • Number of international branches or presence
  • Minimum balance requirements and account charges
  • Interest rates on savings or deposits
  • Salary account perks or fee waivers
  • Credit/overdraft options for future needs
Would really appreciate personal experiences or recommendations, especially from those who’ve used these banks while traveling or living abroad.

Thanks in advance!

For extensive international travel and the need for a bank with a strong global presence, HSBC stands out due to its operations in 62 countries and territories, offering comprehensive services tailored for international clients.

Standard Chartered is a strong contender, especially in Asia, with its presence in 53 markets and a focus on expatriate services.

DBS is an excellent choice if your travel is concentrated in Asia, offering innovative digital banking services and competitive fees.
