Which savings account is better? HDFC or IDFC?

Lets say I have money over 10 lakh to safely keep in a bank account (Savings) then which bank should I choose for around an year of time? IDFC or HDFC?

idfc will have higher interest rates

Split amount between both banks.
Try to keep amount restricted till 5 lacs in a single account.

For now, IDFC is giving higher interest rates since they are focusing on deposits, you won't get that on a large bank like HDFC Bank. Service wise IDFC First Bank is way better than HDFC, atleast for now.

keep your monthly required money into any nationalised bank and invest remaining amount in MFs, those will give you better returns

IDFC offers a better savings account compared to HDFC. If you have a good relationship with your bank, you may qualify for their wealth services, which could make you happy with basic perks
