I use CHEQ for HDFC cards and HDFC bill pay for other CCs. To get 1%cachback or max 750 from HDFC, u need to have HDFC debit card
I think now we can use SBI Unipay to pay HDFC Credit card bill using HDFC Debit card as the MCC for SBI Unipay is seemingly of Utility. Earlier that used to work on Mobikwik as well but no more now. For rest as you said HDFC Bill Pay

Pay credit card bill through Paytm which allows payment through debit card by which you can accrue points of debit card
Paytm is not allowing non BBPS card payments currently. Use Mobikwik, if you get your CC bills on Gmail and are ready to link it to Mobikwik(similar to cred). If your bill is fetched by Mobikwik and you pay full bill amount, use FULLPAY promocode and you get 1%cashback, max Rs.50. You can use debit card to pay as well. Non BBPS card payment is happening smoothly currently.

I am paying all my cc bills via Paytm using debit card and accrue points as well for debit card

Cred is the best.. Many others like cheq / amz pay / Phone Pay / Payzapp etc can be used to pay cc bill.. They may have additional charges.. I don't trust Cheq!!

You can pay using your debit card. Whatever offer is available on your DC on utility bill payment that applies.
If you pay using HDFC DC Then you can get 1% cashback in return and max cashback 750 per month
