₹4,50,000 purchase on Amazon/Flipkart

Hey guys, I am about to make an electronic item purchase of 4,50,000 rupees on Amazon/flipkart (will decide the platform soon but 99% it's gonna be amazon). So I wanted to know which debit card is going to be the best?

Ihave both apay and fkrt credit cards but the limit isn't sufficient for it so can't get the 5% cashback sadly. I have savings accounts in almost all banks so please tell me by which method I could get the most amount of cashback? (Could be anything like reward points etf.) HDFC business DC? Icici?.

Also I have 11 credit cards and none of them can solo purchase it. Also, is there any way to split payment if I could? Between my dad's apay cc and mine? I tried both apay and fkrt but can't see any way. Your suggestions would be helpful. (And in case someone wants to know what is it, then please don't ask it cuz I know people are gonna think it's weird).

Also this is my first ever post so mods feel free to move it to the relevant thread :)

you can check which card is giving the maximum rewards or benefits in this purchase, and then you can make a FD in that bank and then take a credit card against that FD. You can make it as a EMI also buy that or in full payment also.

If I were in your shoes:
  1. I’d try to arrange an Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card with a sufficient limit from friends or family. After receiving my order, I’d pay their credit card bill[Total Purchase Amount - Total Cashback] via MobiKwik using my SBI Virtual Debit Card to maximize savings. (Tip: If possible, postpone this purchase until the Amazon Great Indian Festival or Diwali Sale for better discounts. Also, use apps like CashKaro etc. to earn extra cashback)
  2. If possible, I’d consider getting a Tata Neu Infinity RuPay Credit Card on an FD basis and make the purchase from the Tata Neu app or Croma store.
  3. I'd simply just purchase this item at reasonable price from any store offering atleast 12 months No cost EMI(Bajaj Finance) and grow this money in the time period as per my own financial understanding and risk appetite.
BTW what is this Expensive electronic item? 🤔

Thanks for sharing your valuable insights everyone.

@abhimarda Unfortunately I don't work for anyone hence can't have that. But thank you so much for your suggestions.

@Aadi22 That's a very hastlesome process + I don't think I have much time left as it's urgent hence can't wait for that as well but thank you so much for your valued suggestion.

@TaxWiser 1. Don't have anyone with that high limit. Also, can you shed some light on how paying card bill via MobiKwik through sbi virtual DC gives cashback? I would love to know it. Unfortunately can't wait for sales, as I need to buy it within a few days. Also the price for that thing stays the same all the time hence can't and lastly can't use cashkaro etc. cuz computers are excluded from the list.
2. Thanks but as it's a pre order, it's not available anywhere except amazon, flipkart and their official store.
3. Yes, this one is very kind suggestion but I always have stayed away from Bajaj because of their horror stories + it's something I will make money off of hence I can pay upfront.

It's a laptop. I know it's ridiculous but for me and my needs it's the choice.

Mobikwik has been one of the most consistent apps when it comes to flat cashback offers [at present, get 1% cashback (up to ₹25) and 1% supercash (up to ₹100)]

Plus, if you spend using an SBI Virtual Debit Card(₹0 Annual/Renewal Fees), you'll earn unlimited Yono Rewards points worth 0.5% of your spend, without any capping. It's a smart way to stack rewards by using SBI Virtual DC along with any good cashback credit cards.

It's not unlimited Yono rewards.first line if screenshot itself says max 10000 points per month.
And if your bill is more than 50k of any particular card then you will not be able to pay it entirely in one day and you can't earn any cashback on MobiKwik either as you need to apply code FULLPAY whereby only full amount can be paid while the SBI Virtual card has daily limit of 50k. You can pay in more than one day and earn yono rewards still but no cashback on Mobikwik in such case. Moreover you can get such Rs25 cash back in MobiKwik only 5 times a month..so basically 5 card payments of 2500 or more will earn you 25 five times. This limitation is especially problematic for people holding large number of cards (much more than 5).

Agreed ✌️
& Thanks for the specific details.

That's why, Expense tracking and Financial planning helps in avoiding such unnecessary limitations and keep things running smoothly. 🤗

Pre - load the credit card with the amount and get the benefit of 5%, it will surely be much more than the value of cashback earned by mobiquick 25*5, further you can use Innopay and load 50K (upto 10 times) and get flat 50 each time.
You can use my referral code for the same also "QYHYCCXG" - First Credit Card bill payment of 10K gives flat 100 also.

Few problems in this thing... Most of the banks now don't allow prepayment via BBPS which is the most common platform for payment. Even if some one manages to preload the card by other means, most of the cards do not allow a single transaction exceeding the total approved limit, so preloading will not help in most of the cases. For ex. If your card limit is 1.5lakhs and you preload 50k, the max single transaction in the card will still be 1.5lakh and not 2 lakh.
