Account closing

Online Account opening is very welcome step for every bank and brokers. But their account closure process either don't support online closure or very hectic online process and need many documentation or hidden process. Is there any RBI regulations for it?

Unfortunately, there isn't. You will have to go to your Bank's Branch (Home Branch in a lot of cases) to close your account.

If your account is active and running normally, the process is fairly straightforward.

Only few banks allowed online account closure.
Mostly payment bank, neo bank have this feature.
