Dear Sir/ Madam.
As per RBI guidelines, banks are permitted to charge customer for issuance of debit cards.
For closure there is no such thing. You can close your debit card by simply visiting the Branch or Sending a letter requesting for the closure of atm card.

Thanks and regards

No closing charges should be applicable. You might deactivate or block your card by simply from your mobile banking or internet banking

There are no specific charges for closing a debit card mentioned in the Canara Bank's schedule of charges. However, it's essential to note that Canara Bank may have some internal procedures or requirements for closing a debit card, such as:

- *Verification*: You may need to verify your identity and account details before closing the debit card.
- *Outstanding Balance*: Ensure you don't have any outstanding balance or pending transactions on the debit card.
- *Card Return*: You might be required to return the physical debit card to the bank.

To confirm the exact process and any potential charges, it's recommended to contact Canara Bank's customer care or visit your nearest branch.
