Want to open a new saving account. Mainly for emergency fund. There is no need to spend any money on this.

Idfc first bank is good option for emergency fund up to 7% interest in saving account but only park 5 lakh for security

IDFC is good but ignore 7% interest advertisement. Upto 5L its only 3% which is super-common in all good private banks

You can consider slice / north east small finance bank
5.5 % flat with daily interest payout
Upto 5 lakh is protected by dicgc
