Block on credit card by collection team ?

I held an Axis Bank credit card; however, I was unable to pay the dues for around two years. I cleared the dues a year ago and closed the card without opting for settlement options. Everything has been clear for the past year. Now, I am trying to apply for a new Axis Bank credit card, but my application has been continuously rejected twice. When I contacted the Axis Bank credit card team, I was informed that a block was put in place by the collection team, preventing me from obtaining a credit card even though my CIBIL score is 785. Any the executive don't know how to remove it and how long it will take to get it removed. Anyone from this forum has same situtation and how this can be rectified ?

While applying did you click on existing customer or new customer?

Well I tried both options. But issue is still the same.
