CAN NRO ACCOUNT BE USED FOR UPI?

Hey there. I was trying to register my NRO account for UPI on Gpay. Account is successfully added but transactions are not happening. Sending and Receiving of payments are failed. Reason shows as due to account type.

Any solution for this?

NRO / NRE can be linked.. Chk with Bank

I had been to the bank. They said NRE/ NRO is not supported for UPI payments. It's Bank of Baroda.

I am using NRO Account of IDFC for UPI Payments and it is working fine.
It gave error first time when i paid, after that working fine

I see. But my bank says the above type of accounts not supported for UPI payments. Also the same error message is displayed when initiating the transaction through Gpay. If you know anyone using Bank of Baroda NRO account for UPI payments and if they can successfully make transactions please let me know so that I can this matter at the next level.
