Hi Everyone,

I hope you all are doing well.
I have a car insurance renewal coming up, and I was doing some research online when I came across Policy Bazar, which offers insurance for Digit Insurance Company with an IDV of ₹ 950,000, along with the price and policy details. It shows 12846, including GST, and the price directly on the Digit Insurance website shows as 37994. Both insurance types are comprehensive.
Both Insurance types are comprehensive. Why is there such a big gap? Am I missing something? Can someone please help me explain what I am missing? I also tried to adjust the NCB value to 0 on Policy Bazar, but it did not make any difference in the price. There is still a vast difference between the two of them. I am also attaching a screenshot of both insurance policies for reference. I really appreciate any help you can provide. All the responses are appreciated.
Additionally, if you know of any other websites that are better than Policy Bazaar or any other services you use, your recommendations are highly appreciated.

Regards
Jaspreet

It’s actually pretty common to see such a big difference between PolicyBazaar and the insurer’s official website. This usually happens because of platform-specific discounts, commissions, or the way add-ons and GST are calculated. Sometimes aggregators show limited-time offers or don’t include a few smaller charges that appear later on the insurer’s site. You did the right thing by checking both quotes, going through the cost breakup (own damage, third-party, and add-ons) usually helps spot what’s causing the gap.

You could also try confirming the quote directly with Digit’s customer support to make sure both prices are genuine and valid for renewal. If you’d like to cross-check further, you can also try sites like Coverfox, Turtlemint, or Acko to compare rates. It’ll give you a clearer idea of the actual market price. Maybe a few others here can share if they’ve faced a similar difference or found another reliable platform for renewals.
