If your CKYC record isn’t found while opening a new SBI savings account through YONO, it usually means your KYC details haven’t been updated in the central CKYC database yet, even if you’ve completed KYC earlier with another bank.
Here’s what you can do:
If CKYC is not found: You’ll need to complete a quick video KYC or branch visit(once) to verify documents.
In the YONO app, choose “Digital Savings Account” → “Without Branch Visit” and complete the video KYC process using your Aadhaar and PAN.
Make sure your mobile number is linked with Aadhaar, as OTP verification is mandatory.
Once CKYC is created, you’ll be able to open other accounts fully paperless in the future.
Sometimes, SBI YONO shows this message even if CKYC exists but is inactive or mismatched (e.g., old address or name mismatch). If that’s the case, just visit your nearest SBI branch once, they can update it in 5–10 minutes.
