Clarification on Axis Ace Credit Card Annual Fees

I recently received the Axis Ace credit card, and the kit mentions a ₹0 joining fee and ₹499 annual fee. My question is: will the annual fee of ₹499 apply starting from the second year, or is there any fee for the first year as well? Just want to clarify if the first year is fee-free.
