I have hdfc millenia credit card, bank is offering me rupai card now, should i take that card?

If I get a new card, will the old card be closed or will I have two cards?

Is Rupay card better than Millenia Kara if yes how?

HDFC Rupay Card will be additional card for UPI transactions. I guess Millenia won't be closed.

Millenia is better. Rupay card doesn't have much benefit and is for UPI transactions

do i get the same rewards if i make the payment through credit card via UPI?
Depends on the MITC of card. Like some cards give rewards on some specific transactions only when card is swiped in the machine.
For example, I have HDFC IOCL Card, I get rewards only when I swipe card on POS Machine at the Fuel Station not for UPI transactions at Fuel Station.

1X = 1 Reward point per ₹150 spent | 1 Reward point = ₹0.25
Reward redemption will attract a small convenience charge of ₹99 (+ GST) per redemption.

now consider you spent 10,000/-
3X rewards = 200 points
200 points = 50/-

and to redeem those 200 points you have to pay 99/- plus 18% GST (99+17.82=116.82)

So, you pay 116.82 to redeem 160/-
50-116.82 = -66.82/-

So, you spend 10,000 and you lose 66.82/-
so return is -0.66.82%

Who was it showing too much interest in IDFC Rupay card

3X rewards on UPI spends above ₹2,000
Earn 1X rewards on UPI spends below ₹2,000

So, if you are spending below 2k on UPI then your return will go minus again.

and you have joining and annual fee of 234.82/-

BTW DUDE HOW DO YOU KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT SO MANY CREDIT CARDS , DO YOU OWN A BANK OR WORK AT ONE? HAHA
I have experience with a select few banks, including ICICI, HDFC, and Kotak, which I’ve been using for quite some time. I recently acquired Axis cards, but I’m not familiar with their system yet.

On the other hand, RBL, IDFC, and AU have disappointed me with their weak customer support and unfavorable terms. Consequently, I closed my accounts with them.

IndusInd was acceptable, but I still decided to close it. Interestingly, they claim I’m preapproved for a premium card, but my application is being processed because their system indicates that my old closed card is still active.

And I have the worst experience with SBI cards (credit cards) of my dad and their customer support, I totally avoid them.

You can only see my replies on these banks related quires.
