There are various credit cards like "Flipkart ... Credit Card" and "Amazon ... Credit Card." Are these cards only usable on Flipkart and Amazon, or can they be used at other places as well, like for fuel, insurance, etc.?

Yes, you can use those cards for other transactions too where you get base reward rate, but fuel and insurance most credit cards won't give you any rewards.
