I hope everyone is doing well and saving/making money with the help of this community.
I have a doubt regarding epf contribution. On the official website of epf it is mentioned that 12% of employee’s basic+da has to be contributed towards this scheme. But I encountered with a fact that many employers only let employees contribute ₹1800 which is 12% of ₹15000 salary.
for instance, suppose my salary is ₹1,00,000/month. As per the regulations, ₹12,000 should be deducted from my salary and the same amount has to be contributed by the company. But my company only contributes and deducts ₹1800.
Please shed some light if this is wrong or right?
