ETF vs Mutual Funds vs Index Fund

Hi,
Compare ETFs, Mutual Funds, and Index Funds based on Rate of Return (RoR). ETFs often yield higher returns than Index Funds. Considering the impact of expense ratios over a 25-year investment period, which investment avenue would likely generate superior returns with moderate risk?

Do not consider the expense ratio as a daemon in mutual funds because there are funds who have given tremendous profits such that the expense ratio can be ignored blindly!
Plain Index Funds are not recommended if wanted to get good return. Strategic Index funds can be considered.
ETF can face liquidity issues during the bear markets.
So the Good performing Mutual funds are thee best as of now even though there are other charges !
