Fuel Surcharge and GST on UPI Payments via Rupay Credit Card at Petrol Pumps

As we know, credit cards typically incur a 1% fuel surcharge and GST when used at petrol pumps. My question is, if I use a Rupay card and make a payment at a petrol pump via UPI using my credit card, will I still be charged the 1% fuel surcharge and GST?

Yes You will be charged . and if Your Card Has 1% surcharge Waiver you will get that and have to pay only 0.18%

No you will not be charged for surcharge+gst. I am using icici coral rupay. I never be charged extra amount

i am using axis iocl and it takes charge also idfc first millenia rupay add charges

If you spend Rs.400 & more @iocl pump by using Axis IOCL card , you will be eligible for surcharge waiver upto Rs.50 as per your card eligibility.

I pay using qr scanner at BPCL pumps, Nayara pumps regularly. But never paid extra amount more than the amount I paid at the time

But most of my RuPay credit cards levy a 1% fuel surcharge.

Yes, axis cannot reverse GST as like federal Bank, HDFC bank, ICICI Bank.

I'm not sure about tata neu. But HDFC PIXEL PLAY RUPAY CARD doesn't charge extra than the cost price.

Get a fuel card like IDFC power plus or the ICICI hpcl card, you will never have to pay any extra charges and you will get valueback tooo.
Get a fuel card and earn rewards.

Yes, Just only when we have fuel card.
