HDFC BANK REJECTED MY CREDIT CARD APPLICATION 5TH TIME IN 2 YEARS.

Hey Bekifayti Community,

I need some advice regarding my recent experience with HDFC Bank. I’ve applied for their Freedom Credit Card five times now, and each time, my application has been rejected, despite meeting the usual criteria. Here’s my situation:

I’m a salaried employee with a monthly income of ₹23,000 (excluding incentives).

I also have other sources of income, including rental income, and my latest ITR shows an annual income of ₹5,40,000.

I already have credit cards from SBI, Axis, and IDFC, all of which are in good standing.

My current credit score is 772, which I believe is pretty decent.

I’ve contacted HDFC Bank asking for a reason for the rejection and if there’s any additional documentation they require. However, I’d appreciate any advice from the community. Has anyone else faced similar issues with HDFC or other banks? Is there something I might be missing?

Looking forward to your suggestions and experiences!

Thanks,
Mudassir Khan

Have you ever received any call from Credit Manager of HDFC Bank? Actually, I applied for ICICI amazon pay credit card a while back. But my applications was rejected. They said that there was an address issues in the documents. Also, they said that they weren't able to confirm my work email.

Actually if your application got rejected, then you have to try again after 6 months only otherwise you'll face the same issue.
This is the main reason why your application got rejected 5 times.
Even i faces the same issue but i applied 2 times.
Also this is not like you can't apply for HDFC Credit Card only, but applicable to all banks.
Now wait for 6 months from the date of last application rejection.
When this thing happened to me I tried something new I applied for Federal Bank Credit Card, the card is Lifetime free but the rewards are not great, only decent rewards are there, I applied for Signet you better apply for Imporio.
Why this got accepted?
Because in thier case I have to upload most of the financial details manually and also they want to reach many users.
Once your federal Credit Card got accepted apply again for HDFC.
It worked in my case, try and do let me know if it works for you as well.

Hope this help...

If my resolution didn't worked out for you then apply for a secured FD backed Credit Card.
For just 10 thousand, use it for 3 to 6 months and then apply again for your card.
Make sure to make all payments before due date and never use more than 30% of your limit

As per my experience with HDFC. HDFC is trying to gain some high income individual as there credit card customer, therefore they are not giving there credit card to some individuals. You can still get their credit card by doing FD in their bank.
