I’m facing a debit card issuance issue with HDFC Bank and would appreciate advice from members who’ve dealt with similar cases.
I hold an HDFC DigiSave Youth Account. Earlier, I had a MoneyBack debit card, which I blocked myself. Later, on 19 Jan 2026, I visited my home branch to apply for a new debit card.
I specifically asked for the EasyShop Regular (RuPay Platinum) debit card, which has an annual fee of ₹200 + GST.
While filling the debit card application form at the branch, I selected “EasyShop Regular” as the card variant, as confirmed by the staff. I was also informed that a ₹200 + GST replacement fee would apply since my earlier card was blocked.
However, yesterday I found that HDFC has issued a Millennia Debit Card instead, which has a ₹500 + GST annual fee. I never requested or consented to this card variant.
What can be done now to solve this? I just want a basic debit card, I have other credit cards for cashback features.
