I paid on airtel thanks app. Yes, you can pay in advance. I have done this personally.

For which CC you paid in advance?

I tried for HDFC Tata neu through SBI Unipay but it does not allow to enter more than the bill amount.
After bill settlement also it is not allowing to pay more.

Yes jio has removed DC option

Don't try multiple times to pay bill in advance....bank will track why customer making excess payment and it will impact on card closure by bank without intimation as they consider it has been used as comercial
