Hello everyone,

Hope all of you are doing well

Out of SBI And HDFC which bank is better for home loan.

I am getting 5 lakhs more as home loan from SBI than hdfc. At 8.5 percent. My cibil is 770+

Also I heard that in hdfc in case if we need to do prepayment we need to visit branch vs for SBI we can do online from their yono app. Is this true?

In HDFC they are saying once I take the loan it will remain same for atleast 2 years vs in SBI it will depend on repo rate.

I have my salary account in hdfc

Please provide your valuable inputs.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. But I didn't understand what you wanna say. I am first time home buyer so want to make sure I do not get fulled by banks and want to get the best deal available in current scenario. later don't want to regret if don't choose particular bank and again go into loan transfer process. Cause it's a long term relationship whichever I choose.

So wanted to get feedback from this super talented n experienced people in this community

Hi All

I have home loan in PNB housing bank 7800000 with interest rate 9.4% (recently increased, earlier 8.8%) and loan started from July 2023. Since I was not able part payment and interest rate is high and insurance covered 3lakh. In PNB housing finance.

Now I wanted to go with the Balance Transfer to either with HDFC, KOTAK. If possible SBI Bank From Bangalore Branch.

Any suggestions on HDFC, KOTAK or which private bank is good for Home loan ?

Yes SBI will be better in terms of part repayment. You can repayment any time and any amount. SBI Daily reducing balance and HDFC Monthly reset.
Which is big plus.

I would suggest to opt SBI

I suggest you that don't go for SBI their after sales support is just pathetic they will increase interest rate with out inform you even with out single SMS branch will schedule your EMI on wrong date they will not even change EMI schedule if you notice and ask them to change, branch will just tell you pay as your comfort if you follow their instructions your credit score will decrease day by day. If customer support team talk to change your EMI data or mandate date branch will just respond ignore the call and after that you will get 10 to 20 call par day from recovery team change your EMI date change mandate date etc ,and i share this information because I also work as recovery agent and i don't have any other option then calling the customer and some time even i talk with branch they just say hmm and ignore . This is not only one branch or something it's all over India.
