I maintain two bank accounts: one serves as my active account for daily bill payments, while the second one is specifically designated for my emergency fund and is only accessed in case of an emergency.

I have 3 bank accounts,
1. Paytm Payments bank- for daily use like bill payments, recharge, UPI etc. PPBL has unique FD facility so I can fixed deposit some amount for emergency purpose. No need of maintain a physical passbook also helps a lot.
2. SBI for all cash transactions and as a salary account. Use physical ATM card of SBI.
3. IndusInd Bank online savings account for investment purpose. I badly need a separate account for investment purpose. Easy to track dividend income and easy to track SIPs. It doesn't charge any amount for NACH. Also don't need any physical passbook.

My choice of Banks are not so good but do the job well.

This is a good decision

Is posa a good account for every day use and how is it's digital experience?
POSA - It's the postal bank. Online transactions, both Incoming & Outgoing fund transfer can be done only via NEFT or RTGS. No IMPS & UPI. Has to visit post office branch to activate internet & mobile banking. Mobile app only available on Android. You can also apply for a physical RuPay debit card by visiting branch. I haven't tried to do any payment using POSA net banking facility. I'm not sure many merchants support their platform. The website feels older & simpler. Android app does the same function as the net banking website, but lagging & less features. Not impressive at all. I use POSA to park my unused funds only.

IPPB - It's their payment bank facility (Like Airtel Payment Bank). You can choose to open it along with POSA. Your postman will help you open IPPB account. Your POSA & IPPB will be linked. Fund transfer between the two is free & instant like IMPS. IPPB has both Android & iOS apps. IPPB has additional transfer facility of IMPS & UPI. Also you can apply on the mobile app to get a Virtual RuPay debit card. No net banking facility for IPPB (all done via app). More chance of merchants supporting IPPB since its a payment portal. IPPB app is not the best around, but it's far better than POSA app. It's modern & can be used easily. IPPB has maximum fund holding limit of 2 lakhs (payment bank limit). But if it's linked with POSA, no such limit will be placed.

My POSA-IPPB accounts are relatively new. IPPB app stopped working for 2 days. It took them 1 more day to get the app working properly (reason given was server issue). Their customer care number is also not free of charge to call. I wouldn't make POSA-IPPB my primary bank accounts.
