How to waive late fees and GST on late payment on credit card balance

I have ICICI Amazon credit card, my total balance was only 1000 and forgot to pay on time, i realized after 5 days but bank charge me 900 late fees with GST
when i call they refused to waive late fees , i dont understand is this legal to charge this hefty late fees almost 80-90 %?

Try putting on social meadia like twitter . I had same isse got waived off after i commented on Twitter as goodwill and first time too.
