I want to start a SIP. Please help me by giving your advice on how I can invest, i.e., which method I should use to invest.

FYI, I'm planning to invest a small amount of ₹5,000 monthly.

Should I do a SIP or invest in mutual funds? Please give your valuable advice.
Thank you in advance.

Investment is not about ‘Ask & Do,’ ‘Follow & Do,’ or copying others. It’s about learning (DYOR) and doing it yourself. 🙃

Start your DYOR by Checking out some YT channel regarding the same: Pranjal Kamra, Akshat Shrivastava, Wealth Dekho, Zero1 etc. ✌️

Investing a 5,000 monthly through SIP in mutual funds is the best option because it offers multiple benefits, especially for long-term wealth creation.

1. Power of Compounding

SIP allows your money to grow exponentially due to compounding interest.
Even if you invest only a 5,000 per month, over 10-20 years, your investment can multiply significantly.
Example:
If you invest a 5000 per month for 20 years with an average 12% annual return, you will accumulate 50 + lakh, while your actual investment is just Rs 12 lakh.

2. Rupee Cost Averaging (Reduces Risk)

Markets go up and down, but SIP ensures you buy more units when prices are low and fewer units when prices are high.

This averages out your cost, reducing the impact of market volatility.

3. Builds Investment Discipline
SIP is automated, it helps you invest regularly without emotional bias.
You dont have to worry about market timing.

4. High Returns Compared to FDs and RD

SIPs in equity mutual funds have historically given 10-15% annual returns, much higher than
Fixed Deposits (FDs) ~6-7%
Recurring Deposits (RDs) ~5-6%

5. Affordable and Flexible
No need for a lump sum investment; start with a 500 or a 5000.
You can increase, pause, or stop the SIP anytime.

6. Tax Benefits (If Needed)
