Jio SIM Validity After Recharge Expiry – Is 90 Days Still Applicable

My last Jio recharge expired on 13th June, and I’ve been using Wi-Fi at home since then. Over the past two weeks, I’ve received multiple calls from Jio warning that my number will be deactivated unless I recharge immediately. Today, they said it must be done by EOD.

However, I’ve read that Jio SIMs stay active for 90 days after recharge expiry, which means my number should be safe until 11th September. Can anyone confirm if this is still true under the latest TRAI rules? Has anyone faced deactivation before the 90-day mark?

Hi, I had similar calls cautioning to recharge by EOD for many days. While I didn't know clearly, how long would the SIM stays active, 90 days is something I have also known, so I ensure I recharge before this duration.

I have multiple jio prepaid sim cards and out of them 2 connection i haven't recharged from more than last one year because i just need them to receive otps and incoming calls. I know local jio store telecallers calls frequently to recharge but they don't have authority to deactivate your sim card. I just believe in call from automated call and text message from jio official sources is to look for deactivation
