On 8th Jan UPI Transaction of amount ₹6162 for Flight booking on Flipkart failed
Reason: You can only transfer up to ₹5,000 for the first 24 hours of adding a new payment method. Please use a different payment method

Yesterday & Today again UPI Transaction of amount ₹5670 for Flight booking on Flipkart failed, same reason. But I didn't add any new payment method .
So why is this happening, and what is the solution?

Is there a separate toggle to set the UPI limit for the Edge+ Card, or is the UPI limit the same as the “Online transactions” limit setting ?

This happens because Jupiter treats Credit Card UPI as a new payment method when it is first enabled or when the linkage gets refreshed in the backend, even if you didn’t manually add anything. Because of this, Credit Card UPI transactions are limited to ₹5,000 for the first 24 hours.

That’s why your transactions above ₹5,000 are failing with the same message. This 24-hour cooling period can reset if Credit Card UPI was recently enabled again, the app was reinstalled, UPI was re-registered, or the card linkage refreshed automatically on Jupiter’s side.

The only real solution is to wait for 24 hours and then retry, or split the payment into amounts below ₹5,000 for now. Using a normal card payment will also work meanwhile.

There is no separate toggle for setting a UPI limit on the Edge+ Card. Credit Card UPI follows its own internal limits, which are different from the regular “online transaction” limit shown in the app.
