MasterCard launches ALT ID solution for guest checkout Transitions today.

Can anyone please explain what is the difference between this ALT ID solution and RBI Tokenization launched few days ago..??

An ALT ID solution is a digital identity solution that verifies a person's identity using alternate data sources. Data from social media, phone records, and other online sources may be included.

People who do not have traditional forms of identification, such as a driver's licence or passport, frequently use ALT ID solutions to verify their identity. They can also be used to validate the identity of anyone attempting to access sensitive information or services via the internet.


Tokenization by the RBI

RBI tokenization is the process of replacing a customer's sensitive card information with a one-of-a-kind code known as a token. This token is used to conduct online payments without disclosing the customer's actual credit card information to the merchant.
