Mutual fund in consumer sector

Hello all,
I am Amartya Jyoti Biswas.
I want to start a SIP in Mutual fund.
I want to focus on consumer sector.
But I can't select which one will be good!
Please help me.

Hi if you are new and starting It first time, go for index fund initially, this will automatically invest in consumer company as well. Index funds are less risk with sufficient return for long term.

This statement is very vague and arbitrary. Ek samay matlab 1 month, 1 year, 1 decade, 40 years? Index mutual fund means which index? Nifty index, GILT index, Bank Index, IT Index or any other? Accha return kya hota hai? 5%, 10%,20% and that too on a yearly basis, absolute basis,CAGR basis, XIRR basis, relative basis to some other benchmark?

Bhai index mutual ke large cap me kaise invest karoge? Us index me jo bhi hai usme invest hoga. 3 year returns and CAGR are either outdated or incorrect. 3 saal ka return SBI nifty index fund ka 51.85% hai Aaj ke din indicating CAGR of only 14.94%. Similarly for others.

Nonetheless, the question was on helping on consumer sector MF while NIFTY has less than 10% weightage on consumer sector and is heavy in financials. For consumer sector top returns in 3 year tenor was for Nippon India Consumption fund, SBI Consumption Opportunities fund and ICICI Prudential Bharat Consumption Fund.

Have you even understood what I have written? I have given no prediction! I have given historical data of 3 years from today and 3 year historical returns.. No one can give future prediction accurately.
