Need help converting Airtel Axis MasterCard to RuPay variant

Hey everyone!
I'm currently using the Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card (MasterCard variant).

I recently came to know that Axis has started issuing RuPay variant of this card too.
Given the benefits of RuPay (UPI linking, offers, etc.), I want to switch to it.

I’m looking for guidance from anyone in this community:
Is there a way to convert my existing Airtel Axis MasterCard to a RuPay variant?
Or do I have to apply for a new card altogether?

If anyone has done this conversion, or knows the process (like card replacement request, fresh application, etc.), please share your experience!

Try getting Yes bank Kiwi card for your rupay spends. It has better returns than Airtel rupay card

Right now they not giving any option I think at time of renew you may get option or in future they may offer upgrade offer. At present you may apply new card if you had luck you can get

I am in the same boat as you are. I tried many things but the only way that works and is suggested by customer care is to apply fresh(that is if you get the option for Airtel Axis rupay variant). That's the only way I know of. They say they do not have option to convert the card and it is not issued by them , they say it is issued by Airtel.
