šŸ“£ Need Urgent Help! No-Cost EMI Charged as Regular EMI šŸ˜“
Hi everyone, I really need some guidance.

I bought an iPhone 16 during the BBD sale on Flipkart using HDFC Credit Card – No Cost EMI (6 months).
Flipkart clearly shows ā€œNo Cost EMI on Credit Card Transactionā€, and my order amount is ₹50,953.
But my HDFC credit card EMI is completely wrong:

1st EMI: ₹9,676

2nd EMI: ₹9,004
āž”ļø Both are higher than the correct No-Cost EMI amount (around ₹8,492/month).

This means HDFC charged interest, even though Flipkart marked it as No Cost EMI.
I have already contacted:
Flipkart customer care &HDFC customer care. But both sides are not solving the issue. Each one keeps saying ā€œcontact the other party.ā€
I'm stuck now and don't know how to get this corrected.
Has anyone faced the same problem before?
What should I do next to get my EMI converted to proper No-Cost EMI and get the extra amount refunded?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated šŸ™
Thank you!

This usually happens when Flipkart and HDFC don’t sync the No-Cost EMI details properly. It’s a common issue during big sales.

Here’s what you can do step by step:

1. Check your Flipkart invoice
Make sure the invoice clearly shows ā€œNo Cost EMIā€. If it does, that’s your main proof.

2. Check HDFC’s EMI details
If HDFC has marked it as a regular EMI, it means they didn’t receive the ā€œno-cost EMI infoā€ from Flipkart.

3. Raise written complaints (not just calls)
  • Raise a ticket/email with Flipkart and attach the invoice + HDFC EMI screenshot.
  • Raise a ticket/email with HDFC Cards saying Flipkart billed it as No-Cost EMI but the bank is charging interest.
4. Flipkart has to resend the EMI data
In most cases, the issue gets fixed only when Flipkart sends the corrected EMI file to HDFC. After that, HDFC adjusts the EMI and refunds the extra interest automatically.

5. If both keep blaming each other
Post on Twitter/X and tag @FlipkartSupport and @HDFCBank_Cares along with a screenshot. Their social media teams usually respond faster.

6. Don’t close or pre-close the EMI
Keep it running until the correction is done.

A lot of people face this exact issue, and it normally gets resolved once Flipkart pushes the correct info to HDFC. You should be able to get the extra amount refunded. Let us know how it goes!
