I had 12 credit inquiries over the past 3 years. Does an increase in inquiries affect my credit score/CIBIL score?

Approximately one to two points are deducted per inquiry, and more if your credit history is less than five years. Inquiries remain on the report for only three years and are deleted after that period, so there is nothing to worry about. I know individuals with over 50 inquiries who still maintain a credit score of 760 or higher.

Don't race fr credit products frequently. Give a gap of 6 months at least. It does have negative impact on your score if you have multiple enquiries in a short span of time.
It shows you are a credit hungry which may lead to your credit denial.
